Wood 'N Things

Nancy's Wood 'N Things--Nancy is from the "coolest small town in the USA"--Hammondsport, NY. She was brought up by her grandparents and with pride uses a rose to symbolize her love for her grandmother and a logo for her business, Wood 'N Things. She is a retired synchronized swimming coach and now volunteers in the Hammondsport Library and works part time at Dr. Frank's Winery. She is married to Ed, a native of Bath and a retired professor. Now-a-days he restores boats and does other woodworking projects 24-7.
Together, they enjoy creating wood pieces that can be passed on from generation to generation, such as a pull wagon and a rocking horse made out of maple and cherry --exquisite work. They also enjoy making items such as cutting boards, pie cooling racks, and many other wood crafts. Stains are never used, only oils. That means their items are safe for food.
In addition, Nancy enjoys creating jewelry. She uses real stones and gems. She does use some copper, but mainly sterling silver. You can see many pieces of her work distributed throughout Hammondsport in Limeberry, Artisan Bakery, Scandia House, Best of Two Worlds, and Dr. Frank's Winery and in Penn Yan at Pinwheel Market/Milly's Pantry.
